The Early Years

You think I'm slow in updating my blog? I'm so slow, I'm going backward!

Just for the sake of posting something, I decided to share a couple of old pictures with my readers.

I recently had the opportunity to present the ministry of Village Missions (VM) with the students in CCA (Community Christian Academy—the Christian school at our church). I chose to tell them a little about our early years in ministry with VM in Seba Beach, Alberta, Canada. I had some old slides scanned. Here are three of them:

Here I am leading worship down by the Pembina River
just before a baptism service.
(circa 1984)

I had the opportunity to participate in the annual branding day at the
Cal Miller Ranch. The cowpoke wrestling the south end of the calf is me.
(circa 1985)

Although difficult to see, the little guy sitting on Doug Ward's dog sled
is Zachary at about 4 years old.
We are on frozen Lake Isle, just North of Seba Beach.

Nothing like a little nostalgia!

When asked who the person in the first picture was, Emily replied, "It's a guy". When told it was Grandpa, she said that it was not.

Just tell Emily it was me in another life.
